Grace and Recovery (Gray)

Dr. Terry Ellis will take the participants through his personal journey with addiction and recovery and will discuss the stressors and circumstances of life that led him to use alcohol for self-medication for depression, disappointment and despair; how myths, the brain and spirituality may be incorporated in interventions leading to hope and recovery.  A panel of community experts in a multi-disciplinary field will discuss the picture of addiction in our community.  The program will conclude with a light lunch, book signing, and the opportunity to purchase  Dr. Ellis' book "Grace Waves--Reflection of Ever Present Grace.

2.75 CE clock hours for counselors; no NBCC credits through LCA.

Registration begins at 8:00 with the workshop beginning at 9:00.
