Open Talks Health Conference (Baton Rouge

 “Open Talks”, a health education conference hosted by Open Health Care Clinic is scheduled for Friday, October 26 from 8:00am-3:30pm at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center in Baton Rouge. The conference goal is to provide awareness and educate on the opioid epidemic and other substances. Remaining knowledgeable about current legislation, screening, prevention, and treatment ensures healthcare providers get ahead of this epidemic. “Open Talks” will provide five continuing education units to nurses, licensed social workers and licensed counselors, allow networking with colleagues and vendors and provide the information, skills and resources needed for attendees to advocate for their patients. The conference fee is $75 for licensed professionals and includes breakfast and lunch.
