All children have a right to thrive, but sometimes there are things that can hurt or help the process—these are commonly referred to as risk and protective factors. Risk and protective factors can affect children at different stages of their lives. At each stage, risks occur that can be changed through prevention intervention. The conference will present paths and CEUs for social workers, educators, medical professionals as well as parents.

Topics include child-sex trafficking, trust- and trauma-informed approaches, mandated reporting, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), and ways we can work together as a community to protect our children

6.0 CE clock hours for counselors; no NBCC credits through LCA.
