Workshop #2                 January 18, 2019 Assessment and Interventions for Childhood Depression

This workshop will provide participants strategies for addressing children and adolescents suspected of having a depressive disorder. This training activity will utilize a multi-trait, multi-method approach to the assessment of depression, consistent with current best practices. Additionally, developmentally appropriate interventions will be explored as a pre-medication strategy for both children and adolescents. Finally, assessment procedures discussed will be consistent with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and eligibility for Louisiana regulations for accommodations and special education eligibility.
