Self Care for Helping Professionals

6/8/2019 - 6/8/2019
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: The Red Shoes, 2303 Government St., Baton Rouge

Repetitive care-giving and sustained service to the emotional and psychic needs of others can leave you exhausted and disconnected from your own feelings.  Taking into yourself--through your ears, your mind, if not your heart--the traumas of your clients, can over whelm your senses, zap your energy, weigh your down.  A sustained Self-Care practice can keep burnout at bay and invigorate your practice.  Self-Care of Helping Professionals is designed to not only encourage you to incorporate self-care into your daily practice but also to give you clear strategies for doing so.

This 6.0 workshop will be presented by Angeletta KM Gourdine, Ph.D.  This workshop was not reveiwed for NBCC credits through LCA.
