This workshop will explore the current ethical dilemmas faced by counselors when discussing medications with clients. In this interactive presentation, participants will engage in discussion around case studies, learn about current popular medications commonly prescribed, the different types of prescribers in Louisiana, and techniques for ensuring clients' are making informed decisions for themselves. The ethical decision making process will be reviewed, and the application of said process will be discussed.
This workshop will award 3.0 CE clock hours in Ethics for LPCs and PLPCs. This workshop has not been reviewed for NBCC credits.
