Juggling Interventions for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Treatment

In this training, trainees experience learning to juggle as a group and learn how to facilitate therapeutic juggling interventions. We'll discuss benefits of juggling, suitability for special populations, and research supporting therapeutic juggling interventions. The training will introduce juggling interventions as a neuroplasticity task, mindfulness-based activity, and interpersonal process. Applications will be presented for nonverbal clients, mandated clients, substance use disorder treatment, anxiety treatment, and vicarious trauma.

 

The presenter is  Emily McAveeney, LPC.

This workshop will award 2.0 CE clock hours in Diagnosis.  Even though LCA is an NBCC ACEP,  this workshop will not award NBCC hours.
