9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Center for Children and Families, 622 Riverside Drive, Monroe, Monroe

The Louisiana Coordinated System of Care (CSoC) currently serves 2400 children in the state. CSoC youth have the highest levels of need and carry the most risk for out of home placement. It is based on the Wraparound model and requires coordinating care and communication between multiple entities (child serving agencies, care providers, educators) in a way most mental health professionals are not used to doing. In this workshop we will review the Wraparound Model as an Evidence Based Practice and elucidate the theoretical underpinnings of it. We will then discuss how counselors can work with effectively and in this environment and maintain their legal and ethical standards.

Approved for 3.0 CE clock hours in Ethics; this workshop was not reviewed for NBCC credits.
