Good Mourning/Good Grief: Working with Grief

Grief patterns across the life cycle for adults, children, including various gender identities will be addressed considering stages of development. Models of grief will be presented through various theoretical lenses.

Join Janice Bodet, M.Ed. and Dr. Susan Cooley as they invite attendees to join in a conversation
about grief and mourning. The attendees will discuss four types of grief as well as appropriate models to
apply to the patterns of grief. Differences between men, women, and children will be examined. How
these patterns are impacted by not only the age and sex of the griever as well as whom in their life died
will be discussed. Rituals surrounding death and burial will be examined. These rituals will be discussed
in relation to historical and current practices.

This workshop has been approved for 3.0 CE clock hours for professional counselors.  this workshop was not reviewed for NBCC credits.
