This workshop will specifically discuss, utilize, and instruct on Sand Play as a means of therapeutic intervention both for individuals and groups.
Sandplay is a non-verbal psychotherapeutic modality in which clients create three-dimensional scenes or abstract designs in a tray of specific size, using sand, water, and a large number of miniature realistic figures. It is hands on psychological work which can provide a space for contact with the inner, symbolic, unconscious realm. Sandplay is often an adjunct to talk therapy, and is used in both individual and group settings.
This workshop will award 6.75 CE clock hours for professional counselors. This workshop was not reviewed for NBCC credits.
