The presentation will focus on the developmental stage of late adulthood and issues related to loss and grief with this population. Resources and interventions will be provided, which will address the helping relationship category. Information will be included on how family members and family systems (Marriage and Family) may be affected by such events as death, divorce, moving, and retirement. Assisting counselors with knowledge and information about older adults and grief is an important issue of professional practice.
