Trauma and Mental Health Considerations for Hispanic/Latinx Immigrant Youth

In this workshop participants will review and discuss issues facing the Hispanic/Latinx Immigrant Population in the Greater New Orleans Area and the relationship between trauma exposure and country of origin and immigration experiences. The workshop will also cover effective trauma treatment approaches for Hispanic/Latinx Youth including:
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Alternative for Families Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS)/ “Parts Work” Therapy
