Course Description 

At the conclusion of this program:


? Participants will be able to debunk numerous myths and misconceptions surrounding human trafficking
? Participants will be able to define human trafficking in legal terms.
? Participants will understand the risk factors that make youth vulnerable to being trafficked, to facilitate early identification and prevention.
? Participants will learn the ‘red flags’ or indicators of human trafficking as they might appear in various service systems that clinicians might work in
? Participants will learn about tools, questions, and techniques for screening youth for human trafficking
? Participants will be aware of the various barriers to engaging victims in therapeutic settings and concrete tactics for overcoming these barriers
? Participants will have a deeper understanding of the complex mental health needs experienced by victims and learn strategies for addressing these needs in a therapeutic setting
