Psychotherapy has been traditionally practiced in a shared space with the client and the therapist meeting face to face. Modern technology has enabled psychotherapy to reach out and connect with clients via live video and audio. The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the delivery of psychotherapy in this time of social distancing and “stay at home” working.

 

The webinar will present the following three, one-hour modules:
1. Stress and Resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic
2. Technology and ethics associated with private and secure live video and audio psychotherapy and clinical supervision
3. Interpersonal and psychotherapeutic dynamics in the practice of technology-assisted psychotherapy and clinical supervision.

The participant will learn how to diagnose and treat Acute Stress Disorder.
The participant will learn the basic technologies of Technology-Assisted Psychotherapy and Supervision.
The participant will learn the ethics of delivering private and secure Technology-Assisted Psychotherapy.
The participant will learn Interpersonal and psychotherapeutic dynamics in the practice of technology-assisted psychotherapy and clinical supervision.

The workshop has been approved for 3.0 CE clock hours:  1.0 in Diagnosis,  1.0 in Ethics and 2.0 in Telemental Health (this will count toward the 3.0 clock hours required for renewal of the TMH certification.) It was not reviewed for NBCC credits.
