Ethical Considerations Surrounding Informed Consent for Telehealth Play Therapy

With play therapists transitioning to telehealth, it is important for therapists to have a working understanding of the ethical and legal issues related to gaining informed consent for telehealth play therapy. This webinar will highlight ethical standards from the Association for Play Therapy and the American Counseling Association, as well as discuss best practices for incorporating informed consent practices via telehealth for play therapy. Objectives: 1. Participants will review applicable ethical standards from the American Counseling Association and the Association for Play Therapy related to informed consent in therapy. 2. Participants will discuss and share best practices related to the acquisition of informed consent via telehealth. 3. Participants will gain informed consent approaches for telehealth play therapy.
