Socialization and Safety in the Digital Media Age

This presentation will discuss internet safety for minors. Topics covered will include how therapists can best support parents and/or guardians while providing services via telehealth. Exposure to trauma via the internet will also be covered in regards to new social media outlets. Discussion of therapeutic interventions of how to facilitate conversations between minor/ client and their family will also be covered.

Workshop will cover internet safety surrounding social media for minors. Discussions will cover potential trauma exposure via the internet and how to best support parents/ guardians while educating on internet safety within the therapeutic process.
