Working with Clients in Crisis: Taking Care of our Clients and Ourselves will review several common types of crisis that clients might present with in session. We will discuss common theories of crisis as well as a few of the more common crisis intervention models therapists can use when working with clients in crisis. We will also be discussing our ethical obligations when working with clients experiencing crisis including when or if to break confidentiality, how to make sure we aren’t imposing our own values onto our clients, when and how to consult with other professionals, and making sure we are also taking care of ourselves.

This workshop will award 3.0 in Ethics; it was not reviewed for NBCC credit.
