Making a referral for a client with Opioid Use Disorder for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) does not follow the traditional levels care for addiction services. This presentation will provide guidance on how to screen a client for MAT services and compare this to standard levels of care. Clients do not need detoxification services prior to starting MAT services for certain medications. Some medications do require detox prior to starting MAT.
