The conference will address how to assess individuals at risk for suicidal behaviors(appraisal), how to discuss race and sexual behavior with children in an age appropriate fashion(development), how to help clients through grief(helping relationships). Identifying child abuse and neglect will also be a topic(family issues).
The theme of this year's conference is Little Changes Making a Big Difference. Learning objectives include teaching behavioral health professionals ways to enhance the lives of Louisiana children and their families.
This conference is approved for 7.0 CE clock hours for professional counselors. NBCC credits is not available for this program.
