2021 LaHEC Annual Professional Development Summit

Attendees will be presented with information on effective prevention programming regarding the intersection of alcohol/drug use and sexual assault, considering ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug) use in risk management planning, be provided with an update on the federal policy governing substance use prevention in higher education, and how to effectively implement the NIAAA's College AIM (Alcohol Intervention Matrix) on their campus to reduce substance misuse.

This online event (normally held annually in Baton Rouge) is designed to bring together professional staff from institutions of higher education, community stakeholders, law enforcement, and various prevention & treatment-related agencies from across the state to discuss trending substance use issues, emergent prevention programming, and viable solutions to implement.
