2021 Alabama Higher Education Suicide Prevention Conference

The Trojans Suicide Prevention Coalition cordially invites you to attend the 2021 Alabama Higher Education Suicide Prevention Conference.  The conference will be facilitated virtually, via the Zoom platform.  The conference is open to all helping professions and students.  Conference objectives include:

• Increasing awareness of help-seeking behaviors by development and implementation of techniques to reduce stigma associated with mental health concerns
• Connecting with community resources that provide services to students
• Identifying frameworks for developing institutional protocol for acutely distressed students
• Supporting populations at increased risk for suicidal behaviors (i.e., LGBTQ, student athletes, student veterans, commuter students, non-traditional students)
