Teen Life Counts (TLC) is a free suicide prevention program for students in grades 7-12, the Gatekeepers they interact with, and the Mental Health Providers charged with their care. We are dedicated to ensuring that our program meeting the most current guidelines set out by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA). We are committed to providing safe and effective messaging about suicide prevention to the students, staff, and practitioners we serve.
This workshop is the first step in bringing TLC to your students. School Mental Health Professionals must attend this program in order to become familiar with TLC’s approach to the material. Participants will discuss signs of suicidal ideation as well as potential responses on a clinical and community level.
