Grief and Trauma in Health Care Workers

As the Pandemic continues to change the world in which we live and work, Healthcare workers are the frontline witnesses to the trauma and loss of a challenged medical system and communities and families in traumatic grief. Even before the pandemic, and especially afterward, our healthcare workers are often overlooked as a population of people who bear witness to extraordinary pain and loss, though expected to jump right into their next shift. This presentation explores these challenges and the endured trauma and ways that therapists and healthcare leaders can engage and support these individuals.
