Obsessive Compulsive Disorder : Diagnosing and Treatment

This is a two day workshop: February 25 and March 25.

During this workshop, participants will be able to identify symptoms and diagnose OCD and understand differential diagnosis, and use Exposure Response Prevention to treat it.

 Agenda

Day 1:
Define Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Identify types of OCD.
Identify differential diagnosis
Describe Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP)
Recognize safety issues in utilizing ERP.
Apply ERP principles on case studies.
Day 2:
Participants will identify Trichotilomania and Excoriation Disorder symptoms.
Participants will identify how to use Exposure Response Prevention to treat Trichotillomania and Excoriation Disorder.
Participants will identify obsessions and compulsions of cases.
Participants will be able to identify differential diagnosis of cases.
Participants will identify ERP steps for cases.
Participants will consult and process ERP use.
Participants will identify any problems or concerns when using ERP and problem solve for them.
Participants will identify safety to concerns of OCD and ERP.

This workshop has been approved for 8.0 CE clock hours in Diagnosis.  No NBCC credits are available for this workshop.
