NAMI Louisiana hosts a mental health conference focused on bringing awareness to different mental health matters. The conference’s theme changes every year to highlight the wide range of mental health problems that continue to increase in Louisiana and the United States. Following COVID - 19 protocol, this year’s conference will be held in person at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center on April 1st, 2022. This year’s conference theme is “Rebuilding Healthy Communities” focusing on rebuilding our mental health after life-changing events. Topics like grief and bereavement, healthy recovery strategies, and suicide prevention, will be presented on by keynote speakers who have experience with or work in the mental health field. Our objective through "Rebuilding Healthy Communities" is to help Louisiana residents recognize the importance of caring for their mental health and the resources available to them to help them begin their mental health journey.

Approved for 4.0 CE clock hours for LPCs and PLPCs; no NBCC credit is available for this workshop.
