This program will address the special ethical issues associated with the provision of counseling services over a distance, including ACA code of ethics guidelines, state and federal laws and statutes and issues related to privacy and Protected Health Information. This program will also address clinical issues related to assessment for indications and contraindications for use of this service delivery model, as well as important issues related to safety when managing clients with suicidality, homidality, domestic violence and other complex client presentations.

Presenting a two-day conference, comprised of up to 9 hours of learning in Telemental Health, to provide the mental health clinician with a powerful learning experience for a key competency in the era of the coronavirus crisis. From key ethical considerations of telemental health practice to all the steps and stages of telemental health services, this course will provide a solid overview of how to engage in ethical telemental health practice.

This presentation will satisfy the credential requirements as well as renewal requirements by the LPC Board.
