Death, Dying and Loss 101

This interactive professional development course will consist of experiential writing exercises & activities, mindfulness techniques, and group discussions to investigate death & dying. Exploring various tools to deter professional burnout, building self-care strategies to promote self-awareness, as well as sustaining positive social support systems will be addressed. This experience will have a body & mind emphasis, and help participants gain an understanding of their own perspective on death, loss, and grief. A myriad of teaching techniques will encourage critical thinking, self-reflection, and examine the individual and collective responses to loss and death.

This class can help build skills for those wishing to deepen their knowledge and understanding of everyday life, but also all professionals seeking to contribute to helping those who are impacted by grief, loss, and death.
