Throughout the virtual Global Human Trafficking Summit, First Donna Lady Edwards of Louisiana, First Lady Sarah Stitt of Oklahoma, and the presenters will educate the participants on strategies to address trauma-informed care for victims of human trafficking. Additionally, the presenters will train participants who are expected to be both clinicians and law enforcement on how to properly interact with and care for victims of human trafficking in a way that is trauma-informed and utilizes TBRI strategies. The information taught during this 1.5-hour-long Summit will aid professionals in their perspective fields on how to further care for these survivors through examining human growth and development, social and cultural foundations, and the helping relationships.
