The necessity is not only for these professionals to recognize situations that may compromise our ethics but also to mitigate any harmful practices that may affect clients. This is a very complex subject because it challenges our profession to be vigilant yet realistic.

Boundary crossings and boundary violations can compromise the effectiveness of treatment.

This course will outline in detail the professional code of ethics on dual relationships. The course clarifies that dual relationships are unavoidable in many counseling applications. This course will invite discussion on the subject and offers case studies to challenge the participants.  It is designed to be interactive for participants.

This synchronous workshop is designed for counselors, social workers, supervisors, and clinical mental health counselors to learn how to safely and competently navigate dual or multiple relationships. This course provides expanded opportunities for professionals to understand the current literature available how ethical considerations affect their services provided and the population they serve.
