This workshop will review the history of female development and group psychotherapy development in the United States. The goal is to increase our understanding of developmental changes and the effect they have on group members in relation to self and to others.

Learning about the development of group psychotherapy in the United States
The process in the psychodynamic therapy group
Understanding how group psychotherapy and female development privilege each other
Changes in the perceptions of male and female group members
