Join the Louisiana Career Development Association (LCDA) for our first annual Career Connections Conference since the pandemic shutdown! Our featured speaker National Career Development Past President, Dr. Sharon Givens will review relevant career development topics including career development and mental health, as well as and counseling vs. coaching. LCDA President and President-Elect, Shallene Joseph and Michelle Adams will end the day with a brief exploration of the ethics of burnout.

The  four sessions which make up the conference will include "Career Development and Mental Health:  Effective Strategies for Practitioners;"  (3.0 in Diagnosis); "Career Counseling and Coaching: Approaches for All" (1.5 ) and "An Ethical Exploration of Burnout" (1.0 in Ethics.).  During the LCDA Membership meeting/lunch, there will be a session:  Self-Care Tune Up

Approved for 6.0 clock hours including 1.0 in Ethics and 3.0 in Diagnosis.

The Louisiana Counseling Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP #2019.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. LCA is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
