Our content this year will focus on collaborations and how we translate research into clinical practice and public health efforts.
Bridging the gap between "bench and bedside" requires collaborations across health care sectors through translational science. Translational science is the effort to translate research into pragmatic clinical practice and public health efforts. This allows clinical practice to draw from and inform that which is researched. The bidirectional relationship between research and practice encompasses SAHM's mission statement of advancing clinical practice, delivery of care, research, advocacy, and professional development.
