Description: This presentation will explore clinical supervision through a lens of humility and incorporating supervisory use-of-self. Participants will learn how they can view supervision and the supervisee holistically, while exploring themes of prioritizing the supervisory working alliance, the subjective nature of knowledge and its impact on meaning making, and supervisor humility within the supervisory relationship.
Objectives:
Presentation will provide the historical context of supervision.
Participants will learn about various approaches to supervision that prioritize use of humility
Presentation will explore how these approaches can aid in preventing practitioner burnout
Participants will discuss how to provide corrective feedback to supervisees while maintaining a sense of humility
