TransCare Training: Practicing Ethical Counseling with LGBTQ+ Clients Following the WPATH Standards of Care is a guide to practicing ethical and informed counseling practices with transgender clients following the WPATH SOC and preventing harm.

 This training will discuss the WPATH Standards of Care (SOC) recommendations for transgender clients, letter writing criteria, discuss changes in version 7 to version 8 of SOC, insurance or physician request for letter, advocating for transgender clients with other practitioners, and how to navigate negative reactions within the professional community.

Approved for 1.5 CE clock hours in Ethics, no NBCC credit available for this program.
