Join us for AdDICTION, an online event on 11th August 2023 at 10am Cen, where we'll discuss ethical and therapeutic approaches to addiction.

Learning objectives: 1. Summarize cognitive and emotional development in young children and adolescents
2. Discuss the disease concept of addiction and how to present it to a child and adolescent.
3. Review an ethical approach to assess for the presence of addiction and work with families that are impacted by addiction
4. Implement developmentally appropriate and therapeutically sound interventions and techniques to address the topic of addiction with children and teens
5. Apply multicultural considerations to addressing addiction in the family
6. Exploring ethical frameworks for working with children and teens within the family unit
