Improving Care for LGBTQ+ Elders and Their Caregivers

Participants will be presented with an introductory overview of issues related LGBTQ+ aging. Information presented will include: basic terminology, a lifespan perspecrtive of LGBTQ+ aging, health and social disparities in the LGBTQ+ community in general, health and social disparities facing LGBTQ+ adults aged 50 and older, information on how to create a more welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ clients, and a guide to supporting the caregivers of LGBTQ+ older adults.
