The Psychology and Aging Resource Collaborative (PARC) is an annual conference for mental health/healthcare professionals. PARC is the outgrowth of the University of Louisiana Monroe Pfizer and Bj and Mary Jo Robinson Endowed Professorship in Gerontology. Distinguished speakers invited based on experience, demonstrated skill in presentations and their intellectual contributions to the discipline of mental health. Presentations include the phenomenon of shame and its effect on the aged, law enforcement interaction with the elderly because of their victimization through romantic scams, gambling addiction and the elderly, as well as prescription drug abuse among the elderly.
