What are the necessities (ethical rules) of boundary-setting with clients?  What are some challenges? What do we do with the gray areas?  Query whether the ethical requirements of our profession help or hinder the well-being of:  Our clients? Ourselves?

Many clinicians have struggled over the past few years with not only COVID worries, but the resulting pivot to teletherapy and perhaps other consequences – or choices – you have made since the pandemic reminded us how precious life is every day.  But are you living the quality life you want and need for your own well-being? If not, let’s look at some ways to improve your wellbeing.

Deb Henson, LCSW, JD, LLM, will address these issues and more. Deb is an attorney and LCSW who defends therapists in licensing board matters.  She also consults regularly with clinicians who encounter high-risk clinical clients/situations or who are drawn into the legal battles of their clients or their child clients’ parents. Deb regularly helps clinicians ethically respond to subpoenas and prepare for deposition or trial testimony.
