The 29th Annual Alzheimer's Services Education Conference will host Adria Thompson, MA, CCC-SLP; Owen Carmichael, PhD; and a discussion panel of dementia professionals for a day of education for healthcare professionals and dementia caregivers. This conference will focus on addressing common challenges experienced by those who care for individuals with dementia. Presenter Adria Thompson, MA, CCC-SLP will provide practical modifications to care challenges and takeaways that healthcare professionals and current caregivers can immediately use during care. Owen Carmichael, PhD will present current research regarding Alzheimer's and dementia drugs and explain the risks and benefits associated with those offered. The discussion panel of dementia professionals with discuss participants submitted questions relevant to dementia care.
