This seminar will equip participants with competencies to manage complex cases involving multi-stressed families to enhance their family well-being, child safety & overall effectiveness of interventions; to empower professionals with skills & knowledge necessary to address the complexities of substance abuse & mental health to  minimize the impact on children & improving family health & stability; to help professionals' understand the pervasive effects of traumatic experiences & childhood trauma & to enhance their ability to support the healing & resilience of affected children, caregivers and caseworkers; and to enhance the capability of professionals to provide culturally competent, affirming and supportive services to children & families with issues related to sexual orientation, gender identity, & gender expression.
