Breaking Down Dissociation: An Intro to the Spectrum of Dissociation

6/7/2024 - 6/8/2024
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: The Therapy Garden, 100 Coulee Shore Dr., Cost: $125.00; approved for 8.5 CE clock hours, Lafayette

A 2 day training focused on teaching clinicians about how to screen, assess, treat and understand clients with dissociative presentations. Dissociation is a human experience that all of our nervous systems can tap into for coping with stress and trauma. Walk away with a better understanding of the spectrum of dissociation, what causes dissociative disorders, and what to do when your clients experience dissociation. If you work with trauma, you work with clients with dissociation. We will prirotize teaching in a way that accesses left and right brain functions so that you can leave with a more embodied understanding of content. This will not be a lecture only training. Expect to be engaged and participate!

The presenters are Kathryn Dietzway, LCSW and Alexis Fabre Richard, LMSW.
