Geriatric patients may have psychologic, and physical changes resulting from aging, and it is often difficult for the Healthcare Professional to properly assess and address those health challenges thus affecting the care and quality of life for their patients.
With improved understanding, skills, and knowledge, the healthcare professional will have improved ability to properly assess, address and counsel those health challenges in the geriatric patients for improved Psychological and Physical health.
The learner will be able to describe and better identify the physical and psychosocial disorders necessary to assess, address and counsel when providing care to the ageing patient to validate the knowledge of this presentation.
