This educational event is designed specifically to meet the educational needs for health care professionals including addiction specialists, social workers, licensed professional counselors, physicians, and nurses. The goal of this event is to give healthcare providers additional knowledge about the epidemic and to increase their knowledge on how they can help manage the crisis.
1. Leaners will be able to review importance of including couple along whole continuum of care.
2. Learners will be able to discuss different complaints couples describe when coming into dual-diagnosis treatment.
3. Learners will be able to discuss the influence of the therapist’s approach and taking non-judgmental stance when conducting couples sessions.
4. Learners will be able to review therapeutic goals at each level of care.
5. Learners will be able to review interventions relevant at different levels of care.
