I am pleased and honored to serve as LCA President in 2009-2010. The Louisiana Counseling Association, the state branch of the American Counseling Association, is the official organization for counselors in Louisiana. LCA is a network of over 1200 counseling and human development professionals who work in educational, health care, residential, private practice, community agency, business, government, and industry settings. Currently, there are ten divisions and one affiliate within the Louisiana Counseling Association structure. The divisions are chartered according to the bylaws of LCA and ACA. During this year, I look forward to strengthening the strategic alliances among the Association and its divisions and to positively influencing the momentum we enjoyed during the past year.
Counseling students are the lifeblood of the counseling profession in Louisiana and the United States.
LCA wants to be a resource for you as you begin your career in counseling.Your work as a professional counselor, whether in the mental health field, as a school counselor, or any other counseling field, will be the key to helping thousands of people in Louisiana well into the 21st century.
